Pressed against the wall in the dark, trailing his tongue across soft lips, inhaling his father’s woody scent, James isn’t feeling the holiday mirth. In a moment, they will go back downstairs and join the rest of the family in their merriment. His mother will touch his father’s arm, and he will give her that knowing look. The sight will make James sick— it will drive him mad with images of what they'll be doing while James is alone in his bed. Desperate, he begs his father to prove his desire for him with more than rushed snogs in dark corners.
