Looking for an idiom...
Mar. 14th, 2009 11:56 pmIn Polish, there is a saying that someone "doesn't know what his/her ass is riding on." It basically means that that person has everything one could possibly want and they're still complaining. Is there a similar idiom in English? I should know, since I'm a native English speaker, but nothing comes to mind.
If it helps, Draco would be saying this about Harry (post-war) (or rather, Harry would be imitating Draco saying what he thinks Draco would say). It should be something short and snarky...
The closest ones I can think of are "handed everything on a silver platter" or "fed by a golden spoon" but those just don't have the same effect as the Polish saying, and they don't imply that the person isn't happy. That part would have to be added on.
