I would definitely tell them. If my significant other was cheating on me, I would want to know about it, even though it would hurt. I wouldn't care if it was just a fling or something more serious. Cheating is one thing I will not tolerate in a relationship. Overflated egos aside, my partner could be bringing home a disease, and that is not something I signed up for.
So unless I knew this specific friend would really rather not know about it, I would do the same as I'd want them to do for me.
