Title: The Problem with Slopes 3/25
Author:
nicevenn
Pairing: Harry/Draco, possibly a mention of others
Rating: NC-17 (eventually)
Disclaimer: Harry Potter is the property of J.K. Rowing, Bloomsbury/Scholastic, and Warner Bros. No copyright infringement is intended.
Wordcount: 230
A/N: This fic is being written for my advent table at
hd_seasons. It is also intended as a gift for
nursedarry for her charity donation last year. Her prompts were Harry’s Patronus and Harry leaving his socks on during sex, both of which will appear later in the story.
Summary: The students of Hogwarts have earned themselves a ski trip, but is it a reward or a punishment?
Warning: DO NOT follow the fairy lights!
Harry stared at the wooden sign in front of their cabin.
“What do you think it means?” Neville asked.
“The meaning is quite simple, Longbottom,” said Draco. “Don’t. Follow. The fairy lights.”
The five boys looked around; there were no fairy lights in sight. And even if there were, Harry wondered, why would go they anywhere?
“That’s an odd sign, eh Harry?” said Ernie.
“We can ask someone about it later,” said Harry. “Come on, let’s go inside.” He led the way up the few steps to their cabin and unlocked the door using the key he had received from the office.
They had barely all stepped in side when Neville raised his hands to his head and cried, “Oh, no! I forgot the...” He was cut off by a sharp look from Terry.
“Forgot what?” Harry asked, for Neville seemed to be in great distress.
Neville held Terry’s gaze for a moment longer, and said, “Nothing... it’s nothing. It’ll be okay.”
Harry thought Neville’s hesitance to say what he’d forgotten was unusual, but he decided to let it go.
As they went to pick their rooms, Harry heard Terry whisper angrily in Neville’s ear, “I told you not to forget it!”
Draco looked at Harry and smirked.
