It was enthralling, the way Harry polished his broomstick, with such concentration and attention to detail. His eyes sparkled like emeralds under scrunched brows as he stopped, momentarily, to inspect his work.
Ron felt a blush creep up his cheeks as he wondered whether Harry displayed as much assiduity when doing other things. He couldn’t stop his feet from moving as he came to sit next to Harry on his bed.
“What?” Harry asked distractedly.
“You do a great job polishing that broomstick,” Ron said, examining the handle. “Would you polish mine sometime?”
Harry blushed scarlet. “Er… sure,” he said.
