“Have you ever wished upon a star?” Harry asked his boyfriend as they sat watching the night sky.

Draco smiled ruefully. “No. When I was little, my father told me that wishing is for people who are incapable of making their own dreams come true.”

“Well that makes sense,” said Harry, “teaching you to rely on yourself.”

“It also takes the magic out of life. It did for me, anyway.”

Harry took Draco’s hand in his own and gave it a light squeeze.

“Did you ever --?” Draco asked.

“Yeah. I wished that you would kiss me, that night at the park.”

Draco’s eyes twinkled in the moonlight as he laughed. “I did so much more than that.”
