Title: A Way to Escape
Author: [livejournal.com profile] dripping_cherry
Pairing: Harry/Draco
Rating: PG
Word count: 100
Challenge: [livejournal.com profile] dracoharry100 #107 - escape
Disclaimer: Harry Potter is the property of J.K. Rowling and associated publishers. This fiction was written for fun, not profit.
Summary: If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.

"It was a way to escape," Draco said, "nothing more."

Harry stared at his shoe as he kicked aside a pebble in the dirt. It was here on the Quidditch pitch that he and Draco had first snogged not even a month ago. The last few weeks had been more than Harry could ever have hoped for. He frowned, realising that if something seemed too good to be true, it probably was.

"And you don't need to escape anymore?"

Draco shook his head, avoiding Harry's gaze. "It's time to move on with our lives. You and I could never be."

Interesting and good! A drabble should be a snapshot into a moment, because really that's all the words you have to work with. You did a beautiful job with capturing the mood and the tone of this. I hesitate to call anything perfect, but this was pretty darn close!

Good job!
Faythe.

Sad, but true:) And canoncanoncanon. Very nice, as much as it hurt.

That was lovely. The angst was very unexpected, I assumed all was going to be loverly.

Drabbles are not easy to write, there not only needs to be a snapshot of a moment in time, but to work their needs to be a beginning and an ending, something many don't seem to have. You pulled it off beautifully.
