Warnings: Mentions of past rape, some violence
Albus hated this exercise. It was their initiation into the Inter-House Friendship-Building Programme all Hogwarts students were required to participate in. House rivalries had reached a peak recently with disputes sending students to the hospital wing almost daily. Headmistress McGonagall believed this farce was a catalyst for peace. Albus thought she was insane; harmony was the last thing on his mind after he had been forced to unearth his blackest thoughts and spill them to their source.
Scorpius Malfoy shivered and backed up against the metal bars of their tiny confinement.
Albus forced himself to look away. "How about you? What have you never told anyone?"
Silence thrummed in Albus's ears until the Veritaserum compelled Scorpius to respond. "Your brother did that to me—what you said you think about doing."
"When?"
"Fifth year."
"Why did you keep quiet?" Albus asked. "You could have had him done for that."
Scorpius's caustic laugh echoed off the stone walls. "And who would have taken my word over his?"
"You could have used the memory as evidence."
"Oh yes, I'd love for the DMLE and the court to watch James Potter rut my arse."
Heat surged through Albus's veins; his fingers tightened on the metal bars for a split second before he gave in to lust and launched himself at the other boy. Albus pinned Scorpius against the wall and tore at his shirt, crying out in pain when Scorpius's head smashed against his lips.
Suddenly, the cage jerked and began to move upward; their session was over.
Once they stepped out, Scorpius turned to Albus. "You Potters think you can do anything you want—like gods."
Albus could taste the coppery tang of mortality on his wounded lip. He wasn't a god, but he would make Scorpius believe he was one.

Date: 2010-03-24 06:50 pm (UTC)Dear, you're an awesome writer. Don't let a simple drabble competition get to you like that. Okay, easier said than done, I know. *hugs*
Anyway, if you ever change your mind... :)
