Summary: The students of Hogwarts have earned themselves a ski trip, but is it a reward or a punishment?

The ancient walls of Hogwarts have many stories to tell, but none like this. It is the night before winter break and most of the students are in their dormitories, packing. But the corridors aren’t as quiet as one would expect -- well, one of them isn’t.

Just a few minutes earlier, Harry Potter had been walking slowly along, sad about going to the Burrow for the holidays, when Draco Malfoy’s arm emerged from behind a suit of armor and abducted him. Now Harry’s cock is threatening to burst through his trousers as he grinds his hips against Draco’s while sucking a bruise into the other boy’s pale neck.

No, the silence of this particular corridor is being broken with gasps and moans and desperate pleas for something that should not be given here. Sounds that no one would have believed these two boys would ever make within earshot of each other.

You’re probably wondering, as even Hogwarts itself is wondering, how this situation came to be. For it did not happen within the castle walls, but within the wooden logs of a cabin far, far away.

~Two Weeks Earlier~

Harry was pleased. Curious, but also pleased.

It was Friday evening and all the sixth, seventh, and eighth years had been summoned to the Great Hall. For what purpose, nobody knew, but they were curious to find out. The reason Harry was also pleased, though, was because this gathering gave him the opportunity to see someone he might otherwise not have seen again until breakfast -- Draco Malfoy.

Harry wasn’t sure why he liked seeing Draco as often as possible these days. It was as if his eyes had a mind of their own. They were drawn to the blond git, seeking him out at every opportunity and roaming his body, often lingering absurdly on Draco’s lips, or his pert arse, or even his hands.

“Silence,” McGonagall said as she stepped in front of the gathered students.

Everyone turned to look at the Headmistress, and the voices died down.

“You’re probably all wondering why you’ve been summoned here tonight.”

There were murmurs of agreement.

“The faculty of Hogwarts have a pleasant surprise for you.” Her lined lips gave just a hint of a smile. “We have agreed that after all you’ve been through last year, you deserve to go on holiday.”

The students looked around, muttering excitedly. All except Draco, who, Harry noticed, looked rather impassive.

“Tomorrow morning, you will all be leaving on a two-week ski trip to one of the world’s four best wizarding ski resorts.”

Harry’s heart sank when he realised that the students of each house were probably being sent to a different location, and that he wouldn’t see Draco again until they got back -- or until after winter break. But Draco was paying attention now; his eyes betrayed a hint of excitement. Harry’d had no idea that wizards went skiing. He wondered if Draco had done it before, and if he was good at it... and how he looked in ski goggles.

“In the interest of promoting House unity, however, we have decided to place you in assigned groups. Members of different groups will only be allowed in your cabins for a maximum of five hours per week, and the same applies to each of you. Upon your return, you will be expected to hand in an essay describing how you have grown from your experience -- so you must not isolate yourselves. If you do not produce a satisfactory essay, you will not be allowed to go home for the holidays.”

Groans of disappointment erupted all around Harry, whereas he was filled with a renewed sense of hope. He would be placed in a group with Draco, he just knew it. There’d been too much animosity between them in the past for the faculty not to encourage them to repair it. He crossed his fingers for good measure as McGonagall started to read out the names of students and their destinations.

Girls and boys were being put in separate cabins. Ginny was placed in a group with Pansy, who screeched indignantly at her fate. They were going to Switzerland. Ginny gave Harry a disappointed look, but he was relieved. Two weeks away from each other would be good for her. She was having a more difficult time dealing with their recent breakup than he’d expected.

The sound of Harry’s name being called brought his attention back to the present.

“Harry Potter, Neville Longbottom, Ernie MacMillan, Terry Boot, and Draco Malfoy -- you’ll be going to Elphaba's Peak* Resort in Colorado.”

Harry’s head spun. It was really happening. He and Draco were going to be staying in the same cabin.

"I'm so sorry, mate," said Ron.

Over at the Slytherin table, Draco snorted and muttered something to Goyle about this being the “nightmare before Christmas.” Harry tried not to let it get to him. He had two weeks to prove Draco wrong.
