Blowing the dust off

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted. I miss LJ so much! I've been wanting to get back into writing, but first I wanted to write my Avengers Fest fic, which is due Nov. 1, and well, it hasn't been going well. I thought I'd be done by now. I've started like 40 fics for this fest and abandon them all by 1,000 words. Just today I wrote at least 1,500 of two different ones.

This is really weird for me. Usually I start a fic at the beginning, and unless it really, really sucks, I finish it. Now I'm writing bits and pieces of god knows what, and the words are flowing, but IDK what the story's about!

I think the pairing is my issue. I love it, but there just isn't as much freedom as there was with Drarry. It's much harder to write something purely hot or fluffy cute and have it be believable without going completely AU.

Anyway, how've you all been? What have I missed?

God I don't want to talk about Avenger fic, I have one and I'm totally stuck on it. They don't want to move. *rolls eyes* but they will sure hear me :)
