We all love our favorite slash pairings, but lets face it-- it's not happening in the books :( I hate to see Harry paired with any girl, especially Ginny (I just hate her, for some reason), but if I had to choose, it'd be Hermione. H/H would be way more tolerable for me than Hermione/Ron or Harry/Ginny. However, it seems that there are WAY more Harry/Ginny fics out there! Is it because it's cannon, or do peopel really prefer Harry/Ginny?

Then maybe the H/D pairing is not so far fetched after all ;)

I see what you mean, although JKR explained that Harry's not as sexual experienced as others his age because of his quest.

Actually, I don't think it is at all. Not just wishful slashing either. :)

Yeah, I've heard her say that too, but I think it's a load of bull. She realized she forgot that Harry's a teenage boy. Quest or not, he's gonna think about sex. So, she made up some crap to dissuade people from a queered reading. I've had this discussion with non-HP fans (don't ask me why they listened) and they've agreed that Harry, by not being explicity hetero as a teenager, ends up queer because the reader's mind is gonna "go there" to fill in the gaps. That's all I'm saying. Unintentional or not, she left plenty of room for Harry being gay to be incredibly plausible, even with his sudden canon-het. I guess this is why I find HP slash so believable and appealing in the first place. It totally fits what canon has left out!
